SliceStock FAQ

SliceStock provides ready-to-print G-code that is printer-specific, material-specific, and size-specific. You download printer-tuned G-code and print it — no slicer required.

Do I need a slicer?

No. SliceStock provides ready-to-print G-code. The files are already sliced and tuned for a specific printer, material, and size. You download printer-tuned G-code and print it — no slicer required.

What file type do I download?

You download G-code. SliceStock outputs are ready-to-print G-code files that are printer-specific and material-specific. No slicer required.

How do I print?

Download the ready-to-print G-code, copy it to USB or SD card, then start the print on your printer. This is the same workflow as printing G-code you already trust. No slicer required.

Are files printer-specific?

Yes. SliceStock outputs are printer-specific, material-specific, and size-specific. Each download is printer-tuned G-code intended for the selected printer profile.

Why G-code instead of STL?

Because G-code is already sliced and printer-tuned. STL requires slicing and print settings decisions. SliceStock is designed to remove slicing and provide deterministic, ready-to-print G-code.

Can I download STL instead?

SliceStock is focused on ready-to-print G-code and no slicer required. Some users prefer STL for custom slicing, but SliceStock’s primary product is printer-tuned G-code.

What about Bambu?

Bambu printers often use a different workflow and file packaging. SliceStock is focused on deterministic, printer-tuned G-code for supported printers. Additional workflows may be added separately.

What does printer-tuned mean?

Printer-tuned means the G-code is generated using a specific printer profile and print settings. It is intended to run on that printer, with that material, at that size, without requiring the user to slice.
